Overall, I like the way this looks on my screen porch. The blades are not quite as dark of a mahogany as they are in the pictures. They are made of heavy plastic and the backs of the blades are not painted to match (ugly yellow). If you are placing this fan where you will be able to see the tops of the blades from somewhere, it would destroy the look you were after.
My only other issue is that the paint is very tender and the primer beneath is a different color (ugly yellow again) so you have to be very careful when installing. For the money, I feel this was a good purchase and would buy the same fan again.

Quality is not what I would have expected.The "oil rubbed bronze" is a painted on finish that is easily chipped.I bought this unit for less than $100.What they are charging now, $165, is definitely too much.I have purchased other Hunter fans, notably the Paramount XP, and was expecting better.Also, as a note, the light kit uses three 40 watt candelabra bulbs and, due to the dark brown of the glass, is totally useless for anything other than a night light.
