The fan seems to be of excellent quality and was easy to install. The hanging bracket supplied had to be modified to work with the RACO Heavy Duty support I purchased specifically for this fan. The RACO box was listed as made for "Hunter Original Fans". The only problem I had was balacning the blades on the 2 fans I ordered. Very hard to do!!!!!!They were cheap pieces of plastic and flimsy veneer. Definately not worthy of this fan. I see it has been discontinued which is too bad. It seems that when something good is found some corporate big wig kills it. I can see why it has a lifetime warranty, with the oil bath bearing system the thing will probably not wear out.
