I needed some sort of cooling in my shop/building and this fan fit my needs. It's cheap, white in color, moves a lot of air, and to boot comes with a lifetime warranty!Installation was a breeze. Screw the "J" hook assembly to the electrical box, hook the rubber bushing thats on the down rod of the fan onto the "J" hook, wire it up and you're done! And the nice thing about how it installed was that the rubber bushing that sits on the J hood reduces vibrations and noise caused by the fan being on.
After I had it installed I really didn't like how low it was hanging down from the ceiling... again not a problem. I took it down, removed the down rod from the motor assembly (by removing two nuts and bolts), cut the down rod in half, put it all back together and it looks like it had always been that way.
The only complaint I have is that the speed control that comes with the fan is hideously ugly, huge, and beige. So instead of using it's speed control I bought the Hunter 27181 four speed slide control switch and it seems to be working great (all though I'm hesitant on the quality of the switch).
Great fan (for the price I paid), installed in a snap, looks good, moves air!
Pros:
Cheap.
Installed with NO issues whatsoever.
Modification to the down rod (to move the fan closer to the ceiling) was super easy.
Cons:
Quality seems good enough, though I'm always skeptical for as cheap as it is.
