This is my second Low Profile Fan, and my third Hunter Fan in the house.It mounts flush to the ceiling, perfect since i don't have high ceilings.I'll never buy another type of fan again.I have another brand and its noisy!If the room is quiet (while sleeping at night) you can hear the motor run.However, these Hunter fans are very quiet and work great.You can't hear the motor at all.
